Bruschettas rubbed with garlic and tomatoes, generous sardines, pastis, Bayonne ham, no doubt, you are in the south. But which one? Let yourself be carried away by this easy summer recipe to make on your Montvel barbecue, perfect for an appetizer of character or an aperitif at sunset.
Scale, gut, wash and cut your sardines in half lengthwise. Dredge them in flour.
Sear your sardines on the Montvel barbecue grill. Once they are nice and well grilled, add the pastis and flambé.
Arrange the sardines on the garlic-rubbed bread with the tomatoes, sardines, Bayonne ham and basil in order and finish with a dash of olive oil.
